Do Not Create a Spark
No lights on or off. No switches. No exhaust fans. No mobile phones inside the house. Even a doorbell can ignite a gas-air mixture.
Ventilate & Evacuate
Open the nearest door and window as you leave. Get everyone — including pets — outside and at least 20 metres from the building.
Shut Off the Gas at the Meter
If it is safe, turn the meter isolation lever a quarter turn so it sits perpendicular to the pipe.
Call for Help — From Outside
