When a Brisbane sewer line fails, you have two options: dig it up or reline it from inside. The right choice depends on the fault, the location, and how much you value your garden.
When Relining Wins
Root intrusion, hairline cracks, section joins under paving, driveways, or mature gardens. Cured-in-place liner lasts 50+ years.
When Dig-Up Wins
Full collapse, misaligned joints, sagging bellies, or where the pipe is only 500mm deep in open lawn. Dig is cheaper.
Cost Guide
Relining: $450–$650 per metre. Dig & replace: $180–$400 per metre in easy access, more under structures. CCTV inspection ($350–$550) is the starting point for both.
